Renforth St, Canada Water

An open plan reception room of over 500 square feet complete with high vaulted ceilings, skylights and full length windows gives this Docklands pad extra pulling power. We also love the simple, modern furnishings.

Bonnington Square, Vauxhall

Overlooking the MI6 Headquarters and the river, I spy with my little eye, a rather fine top-two floor secret bolthole on one of the most beautiful squares in London, complete with 22 foot flat roof terrace. The inside is furnished country-house style, complete with impressive vaulted ceilings.

Cubitt Building, Chelsea

A stunning three-bedroom penthouse within the sought-after Grosvenor Waterside Development in Chelsea SW1. Spanning two floors, the top floor offers entertainment potential across over 1,300 square feet.

St Michael’s Street, Paddington

A great example of a penthouse conversion of a Georgian townhouse, six windows wide. Like many of the best penthouses, the entire top floor provides open-plan entertainment space – in this case a massive 1686 square feet.

Irving Street, Covent Garden

This penthouse is located in Leicester Square, and its quirky furnishings, wonderful views and superlative location within easy walking distance of the best West End theatres and restaurants make it a real high-end winner.

Owen St, Clerkenwell

The stand-out feature in this sought-after modern development is the 360° wrap around roof terrace of 1,150 square feet, offering direct views of St Paul’s Cathedral, while the 3,500 square foot interior spans two floors.

Antwerp Way, Docklands

You don’t get much closer to the heart of the West End than Oxford Circus, and this luxury penthouse looks out over it. Full air conditioning, a wrap-around balcony and over 2,400 square feet of space all combine to put this in our top bracket.

Long Acre, Covent Garden

Apart from the great location and 1,400 square feet of space, what caught our eye here were the little details such as the spiral staircase, the retractable roof windows, the solid oak floor and aqua vision bath with underfloor heating.

Rosslyn Street, Hampstead

A penthouse in a Georgian building in the heart of Hampstead would be heaven itself for many, and this 3-bedroom apartment doesn’t disappoint. It includes fully integrated Smeg appliances in the kitchen, a mezzanine study area and comfort cooling throughout.

Rathbone Lofts, Fitzrovia

Just off fashionable Charlotte Street, this penthouse on the top two floors of a 1920s building is a real one-off. Nice touches inside include the hand-made fitted kitchen and air conditioning, and there are no fewer than three terraces from which to enjoy the ever-stretching views across London.

Vernon House, Shaftesbury Avenue, W1
