The Albert Kennedy Trust's mission is: To ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans young people are able to live in accepting, supportive and caring homes, by providing a range of services to meet the individual needs of those who would otherwise be homeless or living in a hostile environment.

They aim to do this by:

• Providing appropriate homes through supported lodgings, fostering and other specialist housing schemes.
• Enabling young people to manage independent living successfully.
• Improving attitudes within society towards lesbian, gay and bisexual young people.

To support their work all their staff, trustees, carers, mentors & volunteers are committed to:

Raising funds for the Albert Kennedy Trust

The staff at Outlet have for some time been eager to support a charity which directly relates to helping homeless people; we are a property company after all.

We therefore felt we should firstly aid by rasing awareness of their incredible work. Secondly we decided to extend our fundraising schemes used in conjunction with other charities to AKT. This works best by offering supporters of AKT discount on our services and then by donating funds back for the fees we earn through them kindly giving Outlet their custom.

Therefore we have decided to offer all kind supporters of AKT a full 1% off our normal letting fee whenever we go on to let their flat or house. In addition we ourselves will donate a further 1% to AKT when that very same property has been let.

We also offer reduced fees for the selling of property with again an additional percentage donated to AKT. For full and further details please click here.

We are hopeful that in setting this incentive many landlords and owners of property will benefit from reduced fees and thus savings and more importantly AKT will benefit equally with increased fundraising. We hope to raise over £5000 this year through this new scheme alone.

All people participating in this scheme will be awarded a special certificate indicating their contribution to raising funds for AKT.

AKT has firmly come up on Outlet's radar as a charity to support and one whose work we feel is extremely worthwhile in promoting. We hope that you too will help us support them.
