The Stonewall Walk
A report from 2013
Well Rafael and I completed our first Stonewall walk, or should I say march !!
It was a march because unlike the Walk for Life pub crawls it seemed were frowned upon. We had just sat down to our first pint at an outside table to watch the walkers wade on past when we were harangued as being slackers. A few sips later and we were informed by two Stonewall officials that they were at the end of the line and that they would be releasing all the sign holding volunteers from their duties as they went and were we ok for directions and map reading ..... Eeeeek! We drank up very quickly and ran to catch up with the main body of walkers.
So the pub crawl it was not ... however the sun shone down, we had a few beers at the very end and we, as a team, raised over £2500 ! Which cannot be bad !
