Living in Soho, London
Edgy is a word often thrown about too readily in modern London, but no area truly encapsulates this atmosphere quite like the grungy streets of Soho. From its history and links to the sex trade to its contemporary placing as one of the trendiest, most up market and fashionable places in the capital, Soho has undergone one of the most striking transformations in recent years. What were previously the heart of underground culture with a seedy overtone have become hip boutiques, creative media agencies and among the most fashionable bars and restaurants around, attracting the brightest and best to the area.
Soho is one of Central London's most exciting and unique areas. It is what the original London was all about, people and atmosphere, hustle and bustle and a creative hub of a vibrant community.
Soho property
While houses for sale or rent aren’t that common, there are plenty of studio and 1-bedroom flats to buy or to rent short-term or long-term, along with some stunning penthouses and lofts, available for long and short term lets. (The latter are ideal for holiday / vacation rentals too, of course).
There’s also a very good selection of serviced apartments in Soho – more on this is under serviced apartments in Soho
Plus as Soho locals ourselves, we’re excellently placed to get you exactly the Soho property deal you’re looking for.

Sights around Soho
Through the ornate and unmissable Oriental-styled gate just off Shaftesbury Avenue, Chinatown is one of the most iconic areas of Soho. The restaurants, markets and side streets of the area are perfect for shopping for gifts and shiny souvenirs, along with wonderful foods and hidden gems.
Originally popular with the mods and hippies in the 60s and 70s, Carnaby Street has long been the centre of swinging London culture. With a range of underground bars and music venues and high fashion boutiques, it has offered so much to set trends over the past few decades. So important has its impact been, that Carnaby Street even saw its own musical open in 2013.
Fashion boutiques have become one of the most prominent parts of modern Soho, with both men's and women's clothing being highlighted. Absolute Vintage, Jack Spade and Cloth House are just a few of the trendiest high street stores to check out for fashionistas in Soho. Elsewhere, department store Liberty is filled with delights, while Supreme brings New York's legendary independent skating store to the streets of London.

Our personal favourites
Having lived, slept and worked in Soho we are often asked of our favourite hangouts. Here are a few where you will often find us when of course we are not working.
Big Breakfast
Breakfast Club, 33 D'Arblay Street - Do not let the queues put you off, it’s worth the wait especially the pancakes
Bar Bruno, 101 Wardour Street - Great cheap grub in the heart of Soho. It’s an institution with tea still served from a teapot!
Lunch & Burgers
Jackson & Rye, 56 Wardour Street - A relative new comer to Soho but with its eclectic food and quick service it is great if you are in a rush
Honest Burgers, 4A Meard Street - Best burgers in London, say no more!
Tasty Tapas
Barrafina, 54 Frifth Steet - It may be impossible to get a seat and can be a bit pricey but this is authentic tapas from Northern Spain
Copita, 26-27 D'arblay Street - Seasonally changing selection of tapas and great wine list. Staff are super friendly
Enrique, Tomas 132 Wardour Street - Fresh Jamon in every shape and form. A full and authentic Spanish gourmet experience
Something cold
Snog, 9 Brewer Street - Delicious frozen yogurt with great fresh fruit options
Gelupo, 7 Archer Street - Ice cream like you never tasted before (unless you have been to Italy). Simply the best!
Something sweet
Maison Bertaux, 28 Greek Street - Top notch baked goodies and a million miles from the mass marketed coffee chains. Lovely!
Princi, 135 Wardour Street - An enormous variety of cakes, pastries and breads to keep you coming back forever more
Cocktails
Milk and Honey, 61 Poland Street - Cool, non pretentious and tucked away but well worth the search. You do need to make reservations.
Dean Street, 69 Dean Street - Enter a world of dark-paneled cosiness but be blown away with the loud constant buzz and fabulous cocktails. Cannot go wrong with their Bloody Maria.
