Fernando Mediavilla – Property Consultant
There is one thing that can be said about Fernando and that is his over enthusiastic approach to lettings and his eagerness to let property is undeniable.
Fernando has to be the one member of staff whose attention to detail is unwaverable. He fairs from a legal background where once he trained to be a lawyer, however he found the dry and somewhat unsavourily aspect of some of the legal work not to his taste. He felt he wanted to help good people and not bad people trying to get off lightly. He found himself at Outlet where his immense attention to detail and a true stickler for providing incredible service have led him to support most departments including property management and lettings. He now leads the marketing for the letting and sales departments and still supports property management when staff are on annual leave whilst also ensuring the latest property news is always in our inbox! This dedicated member of staff is soon to head up overseeing our training too. In his spare time he volunteers in supporting a local theatre and has become the main fitness fanatic at Outlet HQ.

What inspired you to work in property?
II have always had a strong interest in the property field. Whilst at University, my partner and I were able to purchase a property to develop. We were able to convert it from a two bedroom into a three bed property, thus allowing us to supplement our income during our courses.
Sarah Beeny & Kevin Mc Cloud have been quite influential, having the chance to see into other people’s homes created or improved can be inspiring.
What values do you feel are important in working for Outlet?
Our customer service!
I believe it is the way the Outlet team sets itself apart from the competition. Everyone from Ralph on the reception desk to Gary in property management we consistently strive to provide an efficient, professional and personal service. Not forgetting we are extremely friendly as well!
Where is your favourite place to live in London?
The London Bridge Quarter. I have lived in the area for a few years now, and in the short time I have lived there it has changed completely. We have some of the best bars and restaurants in London, a number of famous food markets including Borough Market, trendy Bermondsey Street with its independent shops, museums and art galleries, plus the Southbank with its amazing view over the Thames and Tower Bridge.
What are your favourite things to do in London?
I love going to the theatre. I volunteer at Southwark Playhouse when I can, where I am able to watch the productions. I enjoy keeping fit, and try and go regularly. In fact this weekend I am off indoor rock climbing.
Best night out in London?
Meeting up with friends over a pint or two in a friendly pub, there’s no better way to catch up.
Most treasured landmark or place of interest?
The South Bank Centre – I have never agreed with the opinion that it is ugly & cold.
I find it’s clean lined, modern architecture a great example of 1950 / 60s ultra modern style. As a thriving arts hub, there is always something to do or watch, from accidentally participating in a street performer’s piece to watching the skateboarders making use of the building’s lines.
