Even if there’s no-one living there, your London property still needs a good deal of TLC.
If your apartment or house is empty for any length of time, it’s essential that it’s managed properly, otherwise you could be letting yourself in for expensive repairs and other costs. Void properties are at risk of vandalism, trespassers or even squatters, as well as dangers from poor maintenance, or improper management of utilities. You could even be exposing yourself to litigation.
Fortunately, Outlet can ensure your property is safe, secure and well maintained. Health and safety regulations still apply whether a property is occupied or not, so we’ll make sure everything is as it should be and up to date in terms of safety or other certificates.
We’ll manage the utilities, check for and forward the mail, ensure insurance is in place and up to date, and also arrange for any necessary maintenance or inspections. We can also make sure all alarms systems are in good working order and act as official key holders.
Seasonal considerations are also important. In cold weather we can ensure that heating is set for occasional and/or low use to prevent burst pipes, or arrange for central heating or water systems to be drained. We can also handle any emergency such as a natural, whether natural or man-made.

If you’re looking to keep it ready for occasional visits by family or friends, we’ll ensure it’s ready for occupation whenever required, and can also arrange to hand over keys and so on.
Finally, we can monitor and notify you about special empty property rates – you may be entitled to rates discount while your property is unoccupied.
