Central London Area Guide

Central London Area Guide

Central London - the fast-beating heart of this capital city

Living in the centre of London, you’re close to some of the best restaurants, bars, museums and attractions in the world, not to mention numerous historical and cultural sights and experiences. This is particularly true of the inner centre, long referred to as the West End.

There’s plenty of property of all kinds available in these areas, and with our main office located in Soho, right in the heart of West End, we always have lots on our books. Prices tend to be high, but even so, there are bargains to be found. Property types are mostly flats and apartments, along with some stunning penthouses. There are also many short-term lets and holiday rentals to be had. If you already own a property in London, we provide comprehensive, reliable and cost-effective property management

Chelsea’s clean and quiet streets offer tranquillity with the added bonus of still being close to the action, as does Marble Arch slightly to the west, Angel to the north and Shoreditch to the east. Even right at the heart, in areas such as Fitzrovia and Bloomsbury, it’s possible to find affordable places to live, including some great short-term lets.

Wherever you are in Central London, getting around on public transport or to a mainline station is like a walk in the park. And talking of parks, Hyde Park and Regents Park are some of the best urban green spaces you’ll find anywhere in the world.

Along Piccadilly you can enjoy the best in British fare or take tea at The Ritz. Meanwhile, Marylebone and Covent Garden provide a more relaxed place to meet your friends, with quaint boutiques and cafes. All this plus the beauty of St Paul’s Cathedral, the majesty of Westminster Abbey and the grandeur of The Strand. They’re all even better if you live on the doorstep.

Then you have areas around mainline stations such as Paddington, Victoria, Euston and King’s Cross. There’s a lot more to love about them than their connections too, with impressive period properties and conversions all within easy walking distance.

Moving a little further out from the centre, Bayswater and Fulham are ever-popular with young professionals, and both boast an impressive choice of restaurants and bars. Knightsbridge, home of Harrods and numerous smart apartment blocks, needs no further introduction, and Pimlico has leafy, wide streets (and the Tate, of course).

And let’s not forget Soho, with its stunning penthouses and studios amid a vibrant bohemian smorgasbord of chic cafes, bars and clubs…and the main Outlet office, as it happens.
